3 Ducats started when a non-profit organization needed a web site in 1998. The organizers realized the money that could be saved with a web presence, but were stunned by the prohibitive cost of web site design and hosting. Necessity edged one of it's leaders into creating a simple site on his own, making contacts and helping others in the same situation. The result was 3 Ducats Web design.
